The Lower Falls of the Graveyard Fields
The graveyard fields are a strange place. A fire or huge wind gust killed most of the trees in this area causing it to have growth and animal life that is different from about anywhere else on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are several falls near the parking access area of the Graveyard Fields overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. To reach these falls, drive west on the Blue Ridge Parkway to milepost 418 where the overlook is. Take the stairs to the north end of the overlook and walk down about .2 miles to where the trail splits. Take a right over a little footbridge and you will be able to see the falls.
